Dr Flavia Maximo (Professor of labour law, Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto) on 20 September 2023 will kick off our series of Panoptiwork Talks. From 17.00 onwards, in the Diephuiszaal (Rolinggebouw, Oude Boteringestraat 18) Professor Maximo will introduce her research on decoloniality and labour law, with some examples coming from the relationship between the Global South and the data economy. If you’re interested in joining the meeting, you can email m.rudolf-cibien@rug.nl to reserve a place. The Talk is meant to be interactive, so get prepared to engage in a interesting discussion. Here the abstract of her presentation:

So, how to decolonise labour law?
